Introduction to UKCA MarkingThe UKCA mark is a symbol that when affixed to a product indicates that it complies with the relevant UK legislation. It replaced the CE Mark in UK legislation as the United Kingdom left the European Union. The UKCA mark is affixed by a manufacturer, importer or authorised representative, who are required to ensure and make a declaration that the product complies. UKCA Marking is compulsory and must be affixed before a product is placed (for sale or own use) on the market within the UK. Not all products are required to be UKCA marked, only products that fall within the scope a UK Regulation that has requirements for a product to be UKCA marked. Where a product is required to be UKCA marked, there is a simple process to follow. |
